During the summer of 2009, our San Fernando Valley Casablanca User Group unanimously chose Carroll Lam to be our Casablanca Dealer. Our user group looks forward to a mutually rewarding relationship. Carroll attended our CasaUser Meeting for the first time on September 24, 2009, and gave some very informative presentations. Carroll has also attended the majority of our meetings since. The SAN FERNANDO VALLEY CASABLANCA USER GROUP is a non-profit, no-dues organization that meets together usually every other month to discuss Digital Video, Non-Linear Editing, DVD Production and other related subjects such as Camcorders, Audio for Video, New Equipment and Software, Photo Slideshows, Video Soundtracks, Video Shooting and Microphone Techniques and even Business Ownership. Most attendees own MacroSystem Casablanca Video Editors but that is not a requirement to attend. Some meetings include discussions not directly related to any particular brand or model. Some attendees belong to WEVA International and other audio/video organizations. The attendees range from hobbyists and students to professionals. Please check this webpage periodically. This website, along with our Email Mailings, provides notices, summaries, links, tips, new features and other information. *Please email the webmaster to be added to our Private Mail List. CasaUser DEFINITION: The term "CasaUser" was invented several years ago by former user group Program Director Roger Garretson as his user group email address and was adapted by Ron Brookman, CasaUser Communication Director and Webmaster, as a shortcut method to say "Casablanca User Group" or a Member of the Group -- "Casablanca User". We have a Donation Box at each meeting. We also give some expense money to each speaker. Keith Smith is our Treasurer. But there are no dues for our user group.
